A letter from the President
In my role as president, I am blessed to witness encouraging examples of kindness within our campus community on a daily basis. The selfless mentoring by professors, the caring relationships between students, the tireless dedication of staff are just some of the inspiring actions I continuously appreciate. I’m also privileged to observe the amazing generosity of our donor community. As this annual report vividly demonstrates, the students and future students of our college are the beneficiaries of a legacy of remarkable support. Please know that this support is greatly appreciated.
In 2016, I announced that Grove City College would be embarking on a five-year strategic plan titled, “Building for a Strong and Faithful Future.” After 12 busy months, I’m thankful to report that we’re off to a great start. Perhaps our most visible milestone is one that you’ve already noticed—the new gcc.edu. This redesigned website gives visitors a robust and compelling way to experience everything that makes our College such a special place. Not only does it prepare us for the future, it also gives us a new way to communicate right now—as evidenced by the fact that this year’s annual report is a completely online and interactive experience.
Of course, while our website offers friends, alumni, and current and prospective students a new way to engage with Grove City College, it doesn’t change the purpose of our annual report. This year, we’re proud to highlight the people and stories that demonstrate why stewardship is one of the cornerstones of our identity. Among our long-standing values of faithfulness, excellence, community and independence, it’s stewardship that truly helps us shine. It’s my hope that this year’s report is a fitting way to honor those who make it possible for us to build toward a strong and faithful future.
We still have so much to accomplish as we continually add to our legacy of faithfulness. As we continue to look ahead with excitement about where Grove City College is heading, I’m becoming increasingly aware of what our community can accomplish by God’s grace when we work together. Again, thank you for your generosity and commitment to being a steward of Grove City College.
With gratitude and appreciation,
Paul J. McNulty ’80
